London African Film Festival

Should i decide to focus on one of the films that were screened at the Nov/Dec 08 London African Film Festival , then i have been offered the chance to meet with and get in contact with some of the directors from the films. This would add a lot to my study, and primary research.

I think the film Jereuselama would be useful in this sense, and from the synopsis seems to deal with the issues i would like to focus my study on.

Academics on African Cinema

Received a reply from Royal Africa Society.

I have been put in touch with Lindiwe Dovey, who teaches film at SOAS.

As well as Suzy Gillett at the London Film School, another expert on African film.

There is also a possibilty for interviews with them.

Experts on African Cinema

To make sure i chose the most appropriate texts for my research , i have emailed the New York African Film Festival for advise - http://www.africanfilmny.org/ .

I have also contacted the Royal Africa Society, asking for the same advice - http://www.royalafricansociety.org/

Also emailed the Nineteenth Annual Cascade Festival of African Films - http://www.africanfilmfestival.org
